Primal (also known as Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal) is an American adult action-adventure television series created and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming team. The film is set in prehistoric times about the adventures of Spear and the dinosaur Fang.
Spear – A Neanderthal caveman whose tragedy begins when his mate and two children are attacked and eaten by a swarm of horned Tyrannosauroidea. Despite overcoming her initial suicidal desire, Spear is still learning to cope with loss. Eventually, he develops a deep bond with Fang and is willing to sacrifice any individual to protect her.
Fang – A medium-sized tyrannosaur whose tragedy began with the deaths of her young, caused by the same predators that killed the Spear family. At first, she tries to assert her dominance over Spear. Eventually, she realizes that working in partnership is much healthier than having a herd mentality and is willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen to guarantee his survival.
