Miles Prower, also known as Tails, is a character appearing in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series. Tails is an 8-year-old fox with two separate dual tails that allow him to fly. Tails is known to be Sonic’s best friend and is a skilled mechanic. Tails first had orange fur, then turned orange-yellow from the Sonic Adventure game, and finally changed to the current pale yellow color from the Sonic Heroes game.

Tails is a humble and very innocent fox. Despite his lack of courage, he dreams of being like Sonic, but he wants to prove that he can one day overcome that weakness. He had innocent blue eyes because he was just a kid. He likes mints, plays with machines, and is afraid of thunder. Tails is a mechanical prodigy, but he still hasn’t fully realized what he is. He can rotate his tail to fly through the air, even catching up with Sonic, but it can also weaken him. Also, Tails can swim, which Sonic cannot do.
