Make Door Hanging Crafts

This idea is exciting for decorating your home. First, print a coloring page of your favorite sloth illustration. You can choose the scene of a sloth lying on a tree branch, like our example below. Then, let your child get creative with colors and patterns. 

After you finish coloring, cut out the shape of the sloth and tree branch along the outline. The next step is to use scissors to cut a small hole in the top of the sloth shape and thread the ribbon or rope through these holes. Finally, you hang the sloth chain on the door or window to decorate.

Create A Sloth Craft Kit

To implement this idea, you will need to print many sloths in many different styles, including sloths lying on tree branches, swinging from tree branches, or hugging flower branches. Make A Bookmark

For this idea, you will download and print sloth illustrations. This template includes sloth parts like the body, face, legs, eyes, branches, and leaves. The next step is coloring the details. We chose brown but used different shades to differentiate between the sloth’s trunk, eyes, and branches.

After completing this step, you will cut out all the parts. Make another copy of the sloth’s arms, legs and cut them out individually. We start by gluing the white circle onto the sloth’s head to shape its face. Then, attach two brown eyes to the face.

Glue the remaining limbs to the back of the sloth’s body. Remember to only apply glue to the top, and the ends of the sloth’s arms and legs must be free. You can add some spots or small ‘v’ shapes on the sloth’s back. Finish the sloth by drawing facial features like eyes, nose, and mouth with a black marker. As shown below, assemble the branch by gluing the leaves to the tip. Insert the branch between the sloth’s arms and legs. This is the reason why we left the two ends of the branch free in the previous step.

Take a rectangular strip of cardboard and tape it to the back of the branch, letting it hang freely behind the sloth’s head. Finally, your sloth paper bookmark is completed. To use a bookmark, slide the edge of the page between the body of the sloth and the cardboard on the back.

Create Stickers

This is the simplest activity that easily attracts children. You will need to print out sloth coloring sheets in various shapes, sizes, and expressions. After coloring, use scissors to trim the sloth shapes along the outline. 

You take the decal paper, peel off the protective paper, and then stick the cut-out sloth images on the sticky side. If you use regular adhesive paper, you can skip this step. To make the sticker more durable and waterproof, you can apply a layer of transparent tape on top of each sloth image.
