5 Fun Activities By Using Turtle Coloring Pages

With these ideas, turtle coloring is not just a game but also an opportunity for children to develop comprehensively and have exciting experiences. You and your children will create unique and meaningful crafts.

Make A 3D Turtle

This craft idea will definitely delight your kids. After choosing and printing a picture of your favorite turtle, you’ll let your child color its parts.  You guide the children in using many different colors to create unique turtles.

Then, cut along the outline of the turtle shape. To make a turtle with a prominent shell, cut out two identical turtle shapes. If you only cut one turtle shape, fold it slightly along the contours of the shell, legs, and head to create a curve for the shape, like in the example below. If you cut two turtle shapes, glue them together, leaving a gap in the shell.

Stuff some cotton or shredded paper into this space to create volume for the turtle’s shell and seal it. To make the turtle stand firmly, you can cut a round or oval piece of cardboard as a base, then glue the turtle’s belly on top.

Create A Turtle Life Cycle Clock

The activity of making a turtle life cycle clock is not only a fun game but also brings many educational and developmental benefits to children. You can choose coloring pages that illustrate the life cycle of a turtle or images that represent a turtle’s life cycle.

You will guide children to color according to different stages of development. For example, turtle eggs are white or beige, newly hatched turtles are light green, and adult turtles are dark green. Older turtles are darker green or brown.

The next step is to cut out the colored parts individually, as shown in the illustration below. Then, you will cut two ice cream sticks into the shape of hour and minute hands. Use a pin to fix the two clock hands in the center of the picture.

After these steps, you will have a unique and meaningful turtle lifecycle clock. You can use it to teach children about the life cycle of turtles and how to tell time.

Design Turtle Stickers

Creating turtle stickers from coloring pages is easy and fun, even for little kids. You can directly print or download your favorite turtle images and adjust the appropriate size. Color them with digital software before publishing them on paper.

If you want to create cute little stickers, you can cut them into many different turtle shapes of various sizes. If you don’t have sticker paper, stick double-sided tape to the back of the cutout.

Your beautiful turtle stickers are completed. You can peel off the paper behind the tape and stick it anywhere, such as books, pen boxes, laptops, and phones.
